When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2 The famous Niagara Falls is part of the wonderful flow of water that runs between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario in Canada. When one approaches close to its riverbank, you can see how strong its rapids are. What can stand up to such a strong force?
Our God promises us today that we won't be overwhelmed, no matter how deep the water we wade through or how strong the river that comes against us in life. His love for us is stronger than anything that would try to hurt us or take us over. The prophet Zephaniah said it this way, "The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy . . ." (Zephaniah 3:17). I pray that we will understand how big and strong our God is today. God is bigger than anything that comes against us or the people we care about. He has promised to be with us when we go through the waters so that we won't be scared. That's what our heavenly Father does! We can rest in His loving care today. Prayer: Thank You, Father, for keeping me going when life gets too much for me. You have promised to save me no matter what, so today I give all of my problems to Your loving hands. Please help me remember that your grace is strong enough to get me through anything that comes my way. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. Comments are closed.
