Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

". . .  that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." ~John 3:16

Picture
John 3:16 is one of the most quoted and loved Bible verses in the New Testament. Many people have come to Christ because evangelists have used this verse over the years. This well-loved verse is, and always will be, based on the love of the Father. For God (the Father) loved the world so much . . .

Our Heavenly Father loved us so much that He gave up His most valuable possession: the life of His Son. This way, we could have eternal life with Jesus. What a wonderful promise! He sacrificed everything He cherished to earn our love because of His immense love for us.

Let's never forget how amazing it is that God loves us so much, as it says in John 3:16. Let's keep celebrating that love every day. Thank you, Father, for sending your only Son to the world to buy our spiritual freedom because you love us so much.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for loving me so much that You sent Your only Son two thousand years ago to save me. Help me make Jesus' enormous sacrifice for the whole world personal to me so that I can know in my heart that He died for me and now I must live for Him.

I can't find the words to say how thankful I am for the giant price You were willing to pay to save me and give me eternal life through my union with Your beloved Son.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plan and purpose are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
