Promise #36 - February 5

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto Me; for I have redeemed thee. ~Isaiah 44:22

With just one breath from His nose, God has blown away all of our sins like a cloud. Any traces of our mistakes and failures disappear just like the morning mist does when the sun warms it up. The Old Testament promises God's forgiveness, but it also foretells the day the Lamb, who was slain before the world was made, would pay the ultimate price for our complete forgiveness.

God doesn't see your flaws and failures when He looks at you. Jesus Christ sees you as completely justified and holy if you have accepted Him as a free gift. Our past sins may keep yelling at us in our minds to get God's attention, but they are gone because of what His Son, Jesus Christ, did for us.

May we deeply understand our sins are forgiven today, and may the accuser of the brethren stay out of our minds. As Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for erasing all of my sins and mistakes and making the memories of my old life fade away like the morning mist. I sometimes let my past mistakes define who I am, but today I ask for a new revelation of the beautiful innocence that you have given back to me through the finished work of Jesus.

I pray I will live in your love and acceptance today, knowing that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
