PROMISE #165 - JUNE 14

"Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." ~Jeremiah 33:3 

The most inquisitive beings on the planet are little children. They are in awe of their surroundings, constantly asking their parents questions about what, where, when, why, how, and so on. I love seeing the interaction of these cuties with their loving parents. ‘Daddy, why is the sky blue?" "Mommy, why do I have five toes?"

It is wonderful to see the patience loving parents have with all these questions. Most of the time, their children struggle to understand even the simplest answers, but understanding the answers isn't what matters. What matters is that parents are there for their little ones and take all the time they need to answer their questions.

I think of this promise and how God has invited us to ask Him all the questions we want. It reminds me of the loving interaction between a parent and a small child. It's amazing to think that the God of the universe has all the time in the world to answer my questions! If your parents didn’t answer your questions when you were younger, you might think God will respond the same way.

The truth is that God is the perfect Father, and He welcomes our questions. His promise to us is that He will answer us and show us wonderful things that we don't know!

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for taking the time to listen to all my questions, even the silly ones. I hope I never take Your love for granted, and I treasure our conversations as much as You do. Thank You for encouraging me to call upon You daily and nightly, and then You promise to show me wonderful things that I know not.
