Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." ~Mark Wash

PROMISE #148 - MAY 28

5/28/2026

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. ~1 Corinthians 2:9

Picture
When someone throws a birthday party or special event for a loved one, there is a lot of prep that goes into planning ahead of time. We consider the meal, the decorations, the dessert, and the gift because we want everything to be perfect. We can feel the excitement and anticipation building as the countdown begins to the celebration of the big day. Is this how God feels when He is preparing for us?

1 Corinthians 2:9 reminds us that we can't even begin to conceive of the wonderful things God has prepared for us. Verse 10 continues to say that, although we cannot comprehend these wonderful things on our own, God has chosen to reveal them to us through His Spirit.

My prayer today is that we all ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us more of the amazing things of the kingdom that our God and Father has prepared for us. May the Spirit of God empower us today to understand how deep, how wide, how long, and how high is His love for us in Jesus so that we may be filled to the full measure of the fullness of God. (Eph. 3:14-19)

"Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Prayer:

Father, thank You for preparing an eternal banquet of spectacular things I can’t even imagine. Today, fill my heart with joy. I ask your Holy Spirit to give me a greater understanding of your love for me than I could ever imagine. Today, Father, I set my heart to receive a greater impartation of your goodness that is mine in Christ than I have ever experienced before.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
