PROMISE #113 - APRIL 23

. . . that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. ~Ephesians 3:19

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19)

Ephesians 3:14-21 is a wonderful prayer that the Apostle Paul makes for the church in Ephesus. It includes today's promise. Paul asks the Father in this prayer to strengthen our inner being through the power of His Holy Spirit. He is the one who names every family in heaven and on earth (verses 14 and 15).

The goal of this prayer is for the Holy Spirit to help us understand how immense God's love is, which He has given us through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You can't understand God's love for us in any other way. We can't fully understand it because it's too deep for our minds. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to make God's love real in our lives. Paul says in Romans 5:5 that God has put His love into our hearts through His Spirit.

My prayer today is that each of us has a deep love encounter with God through the work of His Holy Spirit in our lives. I pray that the Spirit of God will provide us the strength to understand how deep, wide, long, and high His love is for us. I pray that we are always filled with God's endless love.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for giving me Your Holy Spirit, which fills me to the fullest extent of Your fulness all the time. So today, with the faith of a child, I ask You to fill my love tank with more of Your infinite love than I have ever known. I ask you, Holy Spirit, to open my heart and make it bigger so that I can understand how much I am loved and accepted in the Beloved.

I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
