PROMISE #100 - APRIL 10

Many, O LORD my God, are Thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and Thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. ~Psalm 40:5

King David wrote Psalm 40, in which he tells God how wonderful His works are. David then talks about all the good things God has in store for us.

God's goodness never ends. It goes on and on. The phrase "The Lord is good, and His mercy endures forever" is used many times in the Bible. The enemy's plan is to make us doubt God's goodness. Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden were the beginning of his plan, and it is still going on today. If he can make us doubt God's goodness, he can make us not trust our Heavenly Father.

David was right when he said that there are too many good plans for us from God to count. The truth is that God is on our side, not against us. He loves us with all of His heart and only wants the best for us.

This doesn't mean that we won't have to face problems and challenges along the way. However, even when things are hard, nothing can ever take us away from His amazing love. (Romans 8:35–39)

Today, I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you get rid of any wrong ideas you may have about God. He is not a distant, angry father or a religious leader who hurts people. He is the best Father, and He has so many plans for you that you can't even count them!

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for all the good things you have planned for me in Christ. There are so many that I can't even count them! Help me remember how good you are, even when I feel like I'm surrounded by bad things. Today I say that you are good and that your mercy lasts forever!
