Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

A new heart also will I give you, and I will put my spirit within . . . ~Ezekiel 36:26-27

Picture
These Bible verses talk about the time when people no longer had to live apart from God. They wouldn't have to guess what the Lord wanted from afar anymore because God promised to give them a new heart and put His own Spirit in them.

Of course, this promise came true when Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, came to earth and made it possible for mankind to receive the free gift of salvation. Because Jesus died, was buried, and rose again, we no longer have to live with a heart of stone. He has given us a new heart. We are no longer cut off from God because of the New Covenant. He has given us the best gift He could give: Himself.

As believers, God has given each of us a new heart and put His Spirit in us as a promise of what we will receive. He couldn't offer you anything better. We should remember that God is always with us and thank Him for giving us the gift of a new heart and His Spirit.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for giving me a new heart and putting Your Spirit in me. I hope the wonder of being reborn is as real today as it was on my first day. I ask for a greater awareness of Your constant presence through Your Holy Spirit, who lives in me, so that I can hear what Your Spirit is saying to me as this day goes on.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plan and purpose are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
