Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

The counsel [plans] of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations. ~Psalm 33:11

Picture
Today's promise reminds us that God will always do what He has planned. When God decides to do something, it will always happen. He is consistent and does not change His mind based on what people think or what happens in the world. He has set His heart on us and decided to love us forever (Jeremiah 31:3) . . . and He won't change His mind!

God's work began in Genesis 1's Eden and ends in Revelation. No one in heaven or on earth will be able to stop His plans from coming true. We can trust God's plan for our lives because His heart's intentions will never change.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for Your love that never changes. I can rest assured that you began the good work in me and will finish it through my life with Jesus. Today, help me rest in your faithfulness. I am confident that I can rely on your love and strength to guide me to completion of my journey, both now and in the future.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plan and purpose are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
