Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." ~Mark Wash

PROMISE #80 - MARCH 21

3/21/2026

Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry . . . ~Psalm 146:7

Picture
God is benevolent. He deeply cares for those on the fringes of society, the oppressed, and anyone else in need of His help. 1 Corinthians 13:6 says, "Rejoiceth not in iniquity [unrighteousness], but rejoiceth in the truth," which tells us what love is like.

It is annoying to see evil win all the time. God has put something in the hearts of people that makes them want to see justice for the wronged. You can be sure that this desire comes from God because our Father is not happy with evil but is always happy when justice wins.

The promise we read today reminds us that God is on the side of the weak and the hurt. 1 Corinthians 1:26–29 tells us that God chose the weak things of the world to confuse the strong, the poor things of the world over the rich, and the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.

No matter what unfairness you see or experience today, know that our Father understands and is pleased when justice wins out.

Prayer:

Thank You, Father, for giving food to the hungry and justice to those who are being wronged. Even though we live in a world full of injustice, I pray that I can obtain great comfort in Your promise to care for the abused and marginalized. Please help me give every instance of injustice I see into Your loving hands and trust that You know all the problems I face so that I can find comfort in every trial.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
