PROMISE #248 - SEPTEMBER 5

"Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." ~Psalm 139:16

What an incredible promise! God saw us before we were in our mother's womb. Before we had drawn one breath, God wrote a unique book that contained each day of our lives.

In the ministry that God has called us to, we often hear of people struggling to feel like they belong in this world. Someone born from an unplanned pregnancy may feel as if their life was not intentionally planned out. We have heard from so many dear people who thought all their lives they were a mistake!

If you struggle with those emotions, my prayer is that this promise will settle the truth that God designed your life before the foundation of the world. It wasn’t your parents who finally planned your existence but your loving heavenly Father.

Every one of your days was recorded in His book before any one of them came to be! Such attention to detail! What unspeakable love! The Creator of the heavens and the earth wants you, and He has a plan to bless you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a bright future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your great love that loved me before the foundation of the world. I can't fully comprehend such eternal love. I pray today that I would know with certainty that my creation was Your idea and that You knew me even before I was in my mother's womb, writing every one of my days in Your special book. May the weight of Your love and acceptance cover any sense of rejection in this world.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
