For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. ~Philippians 2:13 Living as a Christian means learning to live from the heart instead of the head. We have the Spirit of the living God living in us if Christ lives in us. We will have a new heart if Christ lives in us, and when we submit, we can trust that new heart to lead us in everything we do. In today's promise, the Apostle Paul says that God is working in us to give us the will and the strength to do everything He has planned for us.
God guides us through the righteous desires that He has already put in our hearts. We learn how to live from our hearts when we are Christians. We should all learn to listen to the small, quiet voice inside us. God is already working in you, and it makes Him delight to see His children live from their hearts. Prayer Thank you, Father, for giving me a new heart that is so close to Yours that my godly desires match Yours. Please help me become more aware of these God-given desires so that I can do everything good that you want me to do in my life. I also pray that I will be free of the unhealthy expectations that others put on me that keep me from doing the good things You have planned for me. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen.
