PROMISE #126 - MAY 6

5/6/2026

The LORD make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. ~Numbers 6:25

Today’s promise is from the priestly blessing in Numbers 6, which the Lord commanded Moses to pray over Israel every day. In the blessing from the Lord, Moses says that the face of the Lord will shine upon them all the days of their lives. Can you picture yourself rising each morning knowing the brightness and warmth of the face of our God and Father?

Even when clouds are coming our way, we can rise above them (like in an airplane) and still see His face shining on us. Today I pray that each and every one of us would sense the warmth of His love, the brightness of His face shining upon us. We are not meant to walk this life alone. Our Father is watching us every step of the way.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for shining Your love-light on me all the days of my life. Even when the clouds seem to cover my circumstances, Your loving face still shines beyond whatever dims my eyes. Help me to walk in the reality of Your loving acceptance, even when I struggle to believe it is true.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee. ~Numbers 6:25

God told Moses to pray a special blessing prayer for the Israelites every day. It is a well-known blessing and one of my favorite ones in the Bible. "The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them." (Numbers 6:24-27)

The message is simple and straightforward. The Lord desires to shower you with blessings and closely monitor all your actions. Our God watches over us with His strong, fierce, and protective love, just like a mother hen watches over her chicks. May everyone know that He is close to us today and wants to bless everything we do.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for always watching over me and giving me every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. Help me understand that Your strong, fierce, and protective love is with me today, no matter what happens. Your presence is because you are a good Father who loves to bless His children.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
