And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. ~Galatians 6:9 When I go on a ministry trip, I can get exhausted sometimes. I am passionate about my work; however, the demands of travel, staying in various locations, and engaging with new individuals can be quite exhausting. The promise we read today says we should never become tired of doing good. Even though we may become tired in the work, we do not become tired of the work.
Paul the Apostle says in 1 Corinthians 13:13 that faith, hope, and love will always be there. Today's promise is about giving us hope so we can be stronger. Our hope in Christ is that one day we will reap a harvest if we don't give up. And God loves it when we are kind to each other! May we all be strengthened to keep doing good for those around us today, and may it give us hope to know that if we don't give up, we will see real results. Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me the strength to keep going, even when I'm exhausted. Please help me stay focused on the finish line so I don't lose hope, knowing that a harvest of blessings is waiting for me. Please help me to keep doing good, even when I feel down and out. I know You're with me every step of the way, even when I'm at my weakest. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen. |
