Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

. . . made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: . . Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son.  ~Colossians 1:12-13

Picture
The power of darkness once held each of us captive, but the power of Christ set us free and brought us into His kingdom. For everyone who has said "yes" to Jesus, our old life is in the past, and our new life in Christ is now. It doesn't matter how we feel about it.

May the Holy Spirit show us today that we have already been moved into the kingdom of our Elder Brother Jesus Christ. Because we are royal in Christ, the power of darkness no longer has a hold on us. In Christ's kingdom, the last will be first, the weak will be strong, and the poor will inherit our Father's wealth.

I hope that every Christian will pray the same thing that Paul did in Ephesians: that God and our Father would provide us the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that we can know Him better. May our hearts' eyes be opened so we can see the hope of His calling and the wonderful inheritance we have in the saints!

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for bringing me out of darkness and into the kingdom of your Son. Please help me fully understand the incredible freedom I have in Christ so that I can live as a child of Light even in the dark world around me. Please open my heart's eyes fully today so I can understand the hope of my calling and the wonderful inheritance I have with all the saints.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plan and purpose are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
