PROMISE #272 - SEPTEMBER 29

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you." ~1 Peter 1:3-4

There are many unknown things in this world. Our everlasting inheritance is not one of them. For all who have received the free gift of His Son’s life, God the Father has given us an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away.

You can be sure that no matter how things fall apart around you, this promise will hold true! Due to the immeasurable mercy of the Triune God, we can look forward to a special place in heaven just for us! This assurance is more certain than the very ground on which you stand now.

In His great love, God has shown His abundant mercy in the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus! When times are hard and the near future looks bleak, may we look up to see the wonderful future that is coming. May we be filled with hope knowing that You truly are our faithful Father and He has given us an inheritance that will never fade away!

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, that I am Your beloved child, Your heir and a joint heir with Jesus. Help me remember this truth when the clouds hide my view of my heavenly identity in Christ. The truth is I can rest on the promise of eternal life that Your beloved Son has secured for me. Thank You that my inheritance is safe, fully, and totally in Your loving hands.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen
