PROMISE #210 - JULY 29

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. ~1 John 3:2

When Jesus returns, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. The scripture says we don’t know what that will look like, but we know that as we look upon Jesus, we will be transformed into His image.

This promise gives hope for the future but speaks directly to our present situation. The Apostle John encourages us that we are now the children of God! We don’t have to wait until we see Jesus face to face to experience the tangible reality of being His beloved children. Now we are His children, and someday all of the human trappings of our flesh will be consumed in the fire of the loving presence of Jesus when we see Him face-to-face.

But until then we have a wonderful promise that we are now the children of God! May we all see today, with our spiritual eyes, that God’s promise is not just for the future but for the present!

​Prayer:

Thank You, Father, that I am Your beloved child even now, even though I have a magnificent future waiting for me in eternity. I pray that this revelation is clearer to me today than ever before. I rejoice knowing that all of heaven sees me today as Your beloved heir and co-heir with Jesus! Thank you for this priceless gift of salvation.
