Promise #23 - January 23

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  ~ 1 Corinthians 10:13

In John 16:33, Jesus told us that life would be challenging. Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people. Because we live in a broken world, we all feel pain, loss, and heartache. But Jesus goes on to tell us that we can be joyful because He has won over the world!

The Apostle Paul says in today's Scripture that God will test us only with trials and temptations that we can handle. There may be times in our lives when this promise seems impossible, but remember that God's grace is enough for every trial. He will give you the strength to get through it, and He promises to help you find a way out when the burden becomes too much for you to bear.

If you are going through a lot of hard times right now, I pray that our God and Father will comfort you and give you strength by promising that you will not be tested beyond what you can handle. And I also pray that He will show you how to get out of every problem you face.

Prayer:

Thank You, Father, for giving me the strength to get through every hard time that might make me want to give up on my walk with You. I pray that Your comforting strength will help me get through anything that tries to take away my joy and peace today. I trust in Your faithful love and wise guidance to save me when my problems are too much for me to handle.
