A Prayer for Guidance, Healing, and CommunityHeavenly Father,
You are the God who intimately knows us. Before a single word forms on our tongues, You already know it completely. Every ordinary moment of our days—our sitting down and our rising up, our walking through the world and our resting at night—unfolds beneath Your faithful, loving gaze.
Lord, we bring to You the things we try to hide from the world. Our deepest, hidden fears do not frighten You, and our most secret wounds are never lost to Your sight. Even when the darkness of this life feels overwhelming, we rest in the truth that the darkness is not dark to You; it shines as bright as day before Your eyes. From our very first moments in the womb to the breath we take this morning, Your hand has held our entire story. Such knowledge is too wonderful, too vast, for us to fully comprehend.
As we enter this week, we ask You to search our hearts. Examine the anxious thoughts we so often dress up and mistake for wisdom. Gently expose any hurtful or grievous ways within us before they become settled, stubborn paths. Instead, lead us gently, firmly, and faithfully in the way everlasting.
We lift up those around us who are quietly struggling:
