Today's Bible Verse

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38

Today's Bible Reading Plan selections can be found below. If you don't have a Bible with you, just click the references to read each passage online:

Old Testament
Deuteronomy 33-34  —  8.0 minutes
Psalms 71  —  5.0 minutes

New Testament
Matthew 28:11-20  —  2.0 minutes
Romans 16  —  5.5 minutes

Total Average Read Time — 20.5 minutes

Please Note: Today is the 25th of the month. After today, there will be no Bible Reading Plan selections until the 1st of next month. Why not use these extra days to catch up if you’ve fallen behind?

This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 40:1-5
It is wonderful to know what God can do. Our discouragements and defeats are often rooted in our failure to understand Who God is, and what God can do! David uses the word “many” to describe the works that God can do. Our problem is expressed in the opening verse – waiting – “patiently.” The ability of God is clearly greater than our capacity to comprehend it (v. 5).
  1. The patience we need – verse 1
  2. The pit out of which the Lord has brought us – verse 2
  3. The praise that will result – verse 3
  4. The promise of blessing – verse 4
  5. The power of God in doing many wonderful works – verse 5
Never underestimate what God can do! Our problems may seem greater than ever, and our coping with them may be exhausted and seemingly impossible to handle. But God is able (Ephesians 3:20-21)!
Verse for Meditation: Verse 3 – “And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.”

Today's Prayer

“Thank you, Lord, for Your power and for all You have done to save me; I praise Your name and put my trust in You – use me to bring glory to You in the eyes of others.”
