And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: Isaiah 58:10

Psalms 43  —  1.5 minutes

New Testament
Matthew 19:16-30  —  4.0 minutes

Total Average Read Time — 17.0 minutes

This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 27:1-6
What a comfort and blessing this psalm is to our hearts! Life is filled with many fears and anxieties – we so need to trust in the Lord and not be afraid of what others can do to us. The psalmist makes it clear that the priority of the believer is worship or as he puts it in verse 4 “to behold the beauty of the LORD.” The songwriter said, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus; look full into His wonderful face; and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.”
  1. The strength of the Lord – verse 1
  2. The stumbling of the wicked – verse 2
  3. The stability of the believer – verse 3
  4. The seeking of the Lord – verse 4
  5. The safety of the Lord – verse 5
  6. The sacrifices of joy – verse 6
May this day be filled with “sacrifices of joy” to the Lord! Yes, “sing praises unto the LORD!”
Verse for Meditation: Verse 1 – “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid”
