This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 26:8-12

David makes it clear how blessed he was to be in the presence of the Lord – in His house! Worship characterized David’s life, and the Psalms give constant testimony to this great desire of His. How is it with us? Is this what we desire? Jesus said that those who worship the Father (John 4:23-24) must worship Him “in spirit and in truth.” What goes on inside of us is extremely important in terms of describing true worship.
  1. His delight in worship – verse 8
  2. The danger of bad associations – verses 9-10
  3. His dedication was clear – verse 11
  4. His desire to bless the Lord – verse 12
It is important to recognize the danger of our relationships in life. If we associate with the non-believers in order to have true friendship and fellowship, we will be greatly disappointed, and seriously affected in our walk with the Lord.
Verse for Meditation: Verse 11 – “But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity; redeem me, and be merciful unto me.”

Today's Prayer

“I want to be in the place of worship, and to magnify You, Lord, and bring my sacrifices of praise to You.”
