Today's Bible Reading

December 31

Our Bible Reading Plan runs from the 1st to the 25th of each month.
The next reading will be on the 1st of next month. Check back then!

This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 150:1-6
The last day of the year, and the last psalm of this wonderful book of praise and worship to our Lord! Many people write out “New Year’s Resolutions” on this day – what they would like to see changed or made different from this past year. It is good to take stock of our lives and to see where we are spiritually in our walk with the Lord. If we have learned anything from the study of the Psalms, we have been challenged again and again to praise the Lord. A great resolve for this next year would be to commit specific time in each day to praise and worship the Lord with all your heart. To do it with others is a blessing, but to do it when you are alone, is quite revealing of where you really are in your relationship to the Lord. May this next year be filled with praise!
  1. Praise the Lord in all places – verse 1
  2. Praise the Lord for His power – verse 2
  3. Praise the Lord with all pieces of the orchestra – verses 3-5
  4. Praise the Lord as the main priority of your life – verse 6
The last words of the psalm and of this book should be the first words on our lips each day – “PRAISE THE LORD!” Everything that we face in life will look differently when we learn to praise and thank the Lord. All the difficult situations and problems we have will diminish in the light of His greatness and power.
Verse for Meditation: Verses 6 – “Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD!”

Today's Prayer

“Lord, it is my strong desire and commitment for this coming year, to dedicate my life to praising and glorifying You, to worship You for Who You are, and all that You have done, and will do in the future.”
