Today's Meditation - Psalms
Psalm 147:1-11
The infinite wisdom and understanding of the Lord is beyond our ability to comprehend. The psalmist says (verse 5): “Great is the LORD, and of great power: His understanding is infinite.” The psalmist urges us to “sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving.” He mentions all that He does in creation and in sustaining the laws of nature and the universe. One of His most beautiful characteristics is mentioned in verse 3, “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” The Lord is not impressed with man’s strength or ability, but rather takes pleasure in the one who fears Him and hopes in His mercy.
Verse for Meditation: Verse 1 – “Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is come."
