Total Average Read Time — 17.5 minutes

This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 145:17-21
David emphasizes what the Lord has done and continues to do. He says that the Lord is “righteous in all His ways,” and that He is near, fulfills our desires, and preserves us. If we do not feel close to God, guess who moved? It wasn’t the Lord – He is the God Who is always there. Everything that He does is “righteous.” We can count on Him to do what is right and what will bring the greatest blessing. We are encouraged in this section of the psalm to “call upon Him.” The Lord never gets tired of hearing us cry out to Him. Our total dependency upon the Lord is one of the most important insights we could ever learn from the psalms.
  1. The righteousness of the Lord – verse 17
  2. The response to all who call upon Him – verse 18
  3. The result to those who call upon Him – verse 19
  4. The refuge that He is to all who love Him – verse 20
  5. The responsibility of all flesh – verse 21
Make a commitment today to praise the Lord every day. Verse 21 says “Bless His holy Name forever and ever.” When you praise the Lord for Who He is and for all He has done, your attitudes will change. There will be more joy, and less complaint.
Verse for Meditation: Verse 19 – “He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them.”

Today's Prayer

“Lord, I praise You that You are always there when I cry out to You, and that You will save me and protect me, and satisfy the longing of my heart.”
