Today's Meditation - Psalms
Psalm 145:17-21
David emphasizes what the Lord has done and continues to do. He says that the Lord is “righteous in all His ways,” and that He is near, fulfills our desires, and preserves us. If we do not feel close to God, guess who moved? It wasn’t the Lord – He is the God Who is always there. Everything that He does is “righteous.” We can count on Him to do what is right and what will bring the greatest blessing. We are encouraged in this section of the psalm to “call upon Him.” The Lord never gets tired of hearing us cry out to Him. Our total dependency upon the Lord is one of the most important insights we could ever learn from the psalms.
Verse for Meditation: Verse 19 – “He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them.”
