Today's Bible Verse

The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. Deuteronomy 28:12

Haggai 1-2  —  8.0 minutes
Job 39  —  5.0 minutes

New Testament
John 20:10-18  —  2.5 minutes
Revelation 18  —  7.5 minutes

Total Average Read Time — 23.0 minutes

This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 145:1-7
This psalm explodes upon us with praise to our God! It exalts Him and His kingdom, and reminds us of His attributes and mighty deeds. This opening section of the psalm which focuses on the greatness of the Lord, reveals the real secret to David being a “man after God’s own heart.” He concentrated on the worship and praise of Almighty God. He saw the greatness of God and as a result, he saw himself and the need of humility and dependency upon the Lord. If we are too busy to worship the Lord, we are too busy!
  1. The giving of praise and blessing to God every day – verses 1-2
  2. The greatness of the Lord – verse 3
  3. The generations that will praise His name – verse 4
  4. The glory of His power – verses 5-6
  5. The goodness of the Lord – verse 7
Take a few moments right now to express your praise and thanks to the Lord for Who He is and for what He has done and will do. The effect upon your heart and life will be significant.
Verse for Meditation: Verse 3 – “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: and His greatness is unsearchable.”
