Today's Meditation - Psalms
Psalm 140:1-6
Being attacked from all sides, David knew that His only hope and refuge was in the Lord. He begins with the words “Deliver me, O LORD,” and ends this portion in verse 6 with the words “Thou art my God.” He recognizes the evil plots and violent actions which his enemies have been planning against him, and he knows that he needs the protection of the Lord when he says in verse 4, “Keep me, “O LORD.” No matter what we might face today, may we understand thoroughly our need of complete trust and confidence in the Lord.
Verse for Meditation: Verse 6 – “I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.”
