Today's Meditation - Psalms
Psalm 115:9-13
The admonition to “trust in the LORD” is the conclusion of the psalmist’s previous discussion about the insufficiency and inability of idols, or the “works of men’s hands” to accomplish what we need. We are told in these verses that our God is our “help” and our “shield.” We are told how the Lord is “mindful” of us, and that He will “bless” us if we “fear” Him, or acknowledge Him in all our ways. Our trust and our confidence must be in the Lord, no matter how He will use people, things, and circumstances in our lives. Look to the Lord, not to men, organizations, resources, or human promises of success.
Verse for MeditationVerse 11 – “Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: He is their Help and their Shield.”
