Today's Bible Reading

Our Bible Reading Plan runs from the 1st to the 25th of each month.

The next reading will be on the 1st of next month. Check back then!
This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Psalm 108:1-6
David expresses wonderful praise to the Lord, singing and playing his instruments to the glory of God. After praising the Lord, he appeals to the Lord in verse 6 to deliver him, to save him, and to answer him. God’s ability to do that rests in His own character and power; when we praise God for Who He is and for what He can do, we are in a position to call upon Him for our needs. The opening statement is a powerful testimony that we all should reflect in our lives – “O God, my heart is fixed.” To be “fixed” on the praise and worship of our Lord is the highest good in life. It ought to be our main priority and chief agenda for every day!
  1. His expression of praise to God – verse 1
  2. His enthusiasm in the morning – verse 2
  3. His extending that praise among the people – verse 3
  4. His extent of God’s mercy and truth – verse 4
  5. His exaltation of God – verse 5
  6. His expectancy that God will answer and deliver – verse 6
We can learn a powerful lesson from this meditation: Learn to praise and worship the Lord before you call upon Him to answer the needs of your heart. Thank the Lord that He never tires of hearing our cries, but we need to worship Him!
Verse for Meditation: Verse 3 – “I will praise Thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto Thee among the nations.”

Today's Prayer

“I praise You, O Lord, for Who You are, and all that You do, and I desire to let everyone that I meet know how much I love You and worship You.”
