Today's Bible Reading

Our Bible Reading Plan runs from the 1st to the 25th of each month.
The next reading will be on the 1st of next month. Check back then!
This reading plan will make it easy and fun for you to read through the entire Bible this year. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • Although the plan begins with January, you can begin at any time during the year.
  • Each month’s readings are based on 25 days worth of readings, which means you get several free days if you ever fall behind. This makes reaching your goal a lot more possible!
  • Each day’s readings will include selections from both the Old and New Testament, reinforcing the incredible unity of the Scriptures. Perhaps most important, you will focus daily on the life of Jesus by reading a portion of one of the Gospels every single day of the year.
May God bless you as you open His precious Word each day, and remember to pray for His guidance in your study. It is our desire that you will become increasingly changed into His likeness by beholding the Lord through His Word.

Today's Meditation - Psalms

Read Psalm 55:8-16
The wicked are all around us – there is no escaping what they do and say. But, what really hurts is when the attacks come from so-called “friends” and ones we trusted. David calls him “mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.” Presumably he is speaking of the betrayal of his trusted counselor, Ahithophel. That hurts. But, once again, do not let the enemy defeat you – that is a time to call upon the Lord!
  1. The desire to run away was strong – verse 8
  2. The destruction of the wicked for which he prayed – verses 9-11
  3. The deceit of a friend – verses 12-14
  4. The death he prayed would come – verse 15
  5. The dependency upon God which he so needed – verse 16
When a trusted friend has deceived you or hurt you in some way, do not seek revenge or allow bitterness to possess your heart. Rather, call upon the Lord Who will save you!
Verse for Meditation: Verse 16 – “As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.”

Today's Prayer

“Don’t let me focus on the hurts friends have caused, but help me to call upon You, Lord.”
Prayer Center
As Christians, we are called to pray for God’s guidance and wisdom. We feel it is more imperative than ever for believers to stand together in prayerful unity as the world continues on a downward spiral toward the Tribulation hour. Calamity causes people to waste huge amounts of time fixated on watching the destruction instead of praying for protection and God’s miraculous interventions.

The Bible is filled with verses encouraging us to stay focused on praying for God’s will for our lives; for the safety and wellbeing of our families, ministries and leaders; for the spiritual awakening of the unsaved so they to come to true salvation in Christ; and of course for one another and anything that the Lord places upon our hearts.
Up to the final moments of our days on earth, until the day of the Rapture of the Church, we are dedicated to be prayer warriors for the cause of Christ. Each Monday we publish prayer needs and invite fellow believers to pray.
