Every Believer's Roadmap

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will. Ephesians 1:11

The Bible says before you were born that every day of your life was recorded .  .  . Every moment .  .  . laid out before a single day had passed" (Psalm 139:16). God personalized a road map for your life "in conformity with...His will." And it's your job to discover it and walk within its confines. A respected pastor says: "You may know your ultimate destination, but need guidance on how to get there. First and foremost, the Bible says, Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105). He sees the big picture...the shortcuts and pit-falls...Don't look for external guidance...the Holy Spirit lives inside you, and it's from within that you'll get the inside track." Meditate on these Scriptures and make them personal prayers, God has made us what we are...to do good works, which He planned in advance for us to live our lives doing" (Ephesians 2:10. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. (Psalm 37:23 ). "You clear the way for me, and now I won't stumble" (Psalm 18:36). In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:6). And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21). At the end of his life Paul could say, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (2Timothy 4:7). Notice, sometimes Paul had to "fight" to stay on course, but by God's grace he made it—and so will you!

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)

How incredible to know the Lord so delights in His children! How wonderful to know that we, the people of His hand, are a pleasure to Him! Rejoice in the Lord's rejoicing in you! Delight in the Lord's delighting in you! Exalt your God all you people and know that He is well-pleased to have you as His own!
