Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

PROMISE #53 - FEBRUARY 22

God setteth the solitary in families: [God places people who are lonely in families.] ~Psalm 68:6

Picture
Family is very important to God. Paul the Apostle says in Ephesians 3:14-15, "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named." God knows that we were made to be in families, so in today's promise, we see how God puts people who are alone in families.

He wants us to have family life on earth with our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as family life in heaven. Jesus tells us in John 8:35, "And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever." We will always be a part of God's family, no matter how good or bad our earthly family has been on Earth.

If you have trouble getting along with your earthly family, don't worry. You are part of an amazing spiritual family where we can call each other brothers and sisters because we all have the same Heavenly Father. We're so blessed to be part of God's family.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for putting me in your wonderful family where I will always belong. I realize that I am never alone in this life. I am in the best family in the universe because of what Jesus has done for me. Please help me remember today that You are with me and that You will never leave or forsake me.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
