PROMISE #52 - FEBRUARY 21

And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee. ~Psalm 9:10

It is easy to trust God when we know who He is. We can trust Him with our hearts again when we are sure that He is loving, kind, and gentle. We can trust Him if we believe He is trustworthy.

The best gift we can give our Father is our trust. We let down our guards and open our hearts fully to Him when we trust Him. We won't rely on our understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6) when we trust Him; instead, we will fully follow His lead in our lives. I think that when we start to trust God like a child, it touches His heart more than anything else we can do.

Today's promise says that our God and Father will never leave those who trust Him. He is always there for us. He will never abandon or forsake us. For those of us who are afraid of being alone, I pray that the truth of our Heavenly Father's goodness and closeness would drive all fear out of our hearts (1 John 4:18) so that we can fully trust Him.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for being someone I can trust and for never letting me down. So today, I choose to put all my faith in You and not rely on what I think I know. I willingly give you all of my worries because I know You care about me.
