PROMISE #44 - FEBRUARY 13

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him. ~Isaiah 64:4

God loves it when we wait for Him to do things for us. Many think waiting on God is passive, but I think it's one of the most active things we can do! Waiting on God is acknowledging that He is our source for everything. We trust God to do things for us when we wait on Him instead of trusting our resources to do them.

I think that when we really wait on God and follow the Holy Spirit's guidance in our lives (Romans 8:14), we show that we trust Him completely to lead us. We respect His ability to do things for us that we can't do for ourselves when we trust Him. Today, I hope that everyone will see how wonderful it is to learn to wait on God.

May we all see how amazing it is to wait on God today. Psalm 37:7, " Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Payer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for always working for me. Show me how great it would be to stop trying so hard so you can do more for me than I can do for myself.

Today, I choose to believe in your goodness and wait for You. Please give me the grace to enter into the rest that Jesus invites me into as I work with Him on the job you have given me.
