Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure. ~Isaiah 46:10

Picture
In the book of Revelation (Revelation 1:8,11; 21:6; 22:13), Jesus is known as the Alpha and the Omega: the beginning and the end. The Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have always been and always will be. We read from Isaiah 46:10 in today's promise that God knows the end from the beginning and will fulfill all His plans.

Many times in life, I feel like I can only see a few short steps ahead, but it gives me such great comfort to know that my God and Father knows the end from the beginning. In Psalm 139:16. King David makes this declaration about God, "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them." (Psalm 139:16).

God has a plan for your life. He made you whole in your mother's womb and planned out every day of your life, writing them down. We can trust that our God and Father will take care of us and carry out the plans He wants us to do. He is a good Father and knows how things will end.

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5).

Prayer

Thank You, Father, for knowing how my life will end from the start. There is nothing in all of creation that can keep me from Your love for me in Christ, and I know that Your plans for me will come true.

You are a kind and loving Father who has written down every day of my life in Your special book and counted every hair on my head before any of them happened. Today, I choose to trust in Your loving care and rest in the wonderful plan You have for me.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
