Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

. . .  not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you . . . ~Joshua 23:14

Picture
When you have time, I would suggest that you read all of Joshua 23. Joshua has one last opportunity to tell the people of Israel how he feels before he dies. In this last speech, he tells the Israelites to stay true to God and reminds them of how faithful God is.

People say that looking back is like looking at a picture. This means that we can see clearly what has happened when we look back. When we look back, we don't have to guess. Joshua told the Israelites to move on but also to remember God's past faithfulness. He told them again how God had saved them and kept all of His promises.

We should be brave enough to believe that God will always be faithful, even when things are tough right now and in the future. We should all remember that every promise God has made to us will come true.

Prayer:

Thank You, Father, for all the good and precious promises You have made to me in Christ and for every promise You have kept in my life. You are a wonderful and loving Father who keeps His promises and will always be there for me. No matter what giants I might face today, help me rest in Your goodness.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
