The LORD preserveth the strangers; He relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked He turneth upside down. ~Psalm 146:9 God consistently shows concern for those facing hardships. He always wants to keep people safe who can't do it themselves. That's just how He is. Psalm 146:9 says that God takes care of foreigners in a strange land and helps people who are widowed or don't have a father. If you feel weak and vulnerable in this life, know that God is watching over you.
God will keep you safe if you live somewhere that doesn't feel like home. God will be a father to you if you feel like you don't have one and need one. He will be your husband if you are a widow and feel lonely. Whatever you need, know that God loves you and will take care of you. Prayer: Father, thank You for choosing the weak of this world to confound the strong and for being a Father to the fatherless. I hope that I will know this more deeply than I ever have before. Help me do well today, knowing that Your love will keep me safe no matter what happens. I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
