Promise #16 - January 16

Now the God of peace, . . . make you perfect [complete] in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.  ~ Hebrews 13:20-21

The God and Father we worship gives us everything we need to live a godly life. He will give us everything we need to do what He wants us to do. John the Baptist talks to his followers in John 3:27 and says, ". . . A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven."

Every good thing we have has come from heaven. The Bible says in James 1:17 that the Father of Lights gives us all good and perfect gifts. Your Heavenly Father will give you what you need, when you need it, through the life of His Son, who lives in you. We can trust this promise. We don't have to go through life alone, relying solely on our strength and resources.

Today, I pray that we all remember that our Father and God promise to give us everything we need to do what He wants us to do.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for giving me everything I need through the life of your Son, Jesus. I know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, so I gladly accept everything You have given me through Your Holy Spirit. Help me trust in what You have given me so that I can have the strength to do everything You have asked me to do today.
