PROMISE #14 - JANUARY 14

. . . God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto Him.  ~John 3:34

In John 3:34, John the Baptist talks about Jesus and tells us that God sent Him and gave Him the Spirit without limit, so He speaks God's words. If we are one with Christ and share in His inheritance, then everything that belongs to Jesus also belongs to us.

According to the Bible, we are the Holy Spirit's temple (1 Corinthians 3:16). It also says that God has given us His Spirit as a deposit to ensure we will receive our inheritance (2 Corinthians 1:22). If we no longer live, but Christ lives in us (Galatians 2:20), then I can only assume that God has given His Spirit to us in the same way that He gave it to Jesus.

Matthew 17:20 says that Jesus told people that nothing would be impossible for them. With this in mind, let's have faith today so that we can know that the Spirit that lives in us is the same Spirit that brought Jesus back to life (Romans 8:11). God and our Father can do anything in our lives because He has given us His Spirit without limit.

Thank you, Father, for giving me your Spirit in an unlimited way. I pray that I will wake up to the endless, priceless gift of Your life that I have received through my relationship with Jesus. May today be a new opportunity for me to see how much I can do as a beloved child of God on this side of heaven.
