Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

Promise #28 - January 28

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. ~Romans 8:37

Picture
In verse 35, just before today's promise, the Apostle Paul talks about some of the problems that can happen to the Lord's loved ones. We read, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" He answers this question by explaining the inspiration behind today's promise!

Yet, we are more than conquerors through God's love in Jesus Christ. His amazing love elevates us beyond mere conquerors. God's love will help you get through any problems you have today. His amazing, unconditional, and everlasting love will never be able to separate you from anything.

Today, I hope that we all feel His closeness and the truth of this promise in a real way. Let's all say together what Paul the Apostle wrote two thousand years ago .  .  . we are more than conquerors because He loved us!

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for the love You have shown me in my relationship with Your Son, which has transformed me into more than a conqueror! I pray that I can live in the truth of your goodness today and let only your love define me. I know that I am loved with an everlasting love, and nothing in all of creation can ever break the wonderful bond I have with you in Christ.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Promise #2 - January 2

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
~ Psalm 103:8

Picture
Niagara Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in all of the world. The water that flows over the edge of this natural wonder is so powerful and loud that it amazes all onlookers. This natural wonder makes me think of God's never-ending love for us.

As we go about our daily lives in this New Year, may we always remember how God sees us. The Lord is full of love, mercy, and grace for us. His kindness is what drives everything He does.

This new year, may the Holy Spirit help us understand more about who God is and what He is like. May He also break down any false ideas we have about our Heavenly Father that make us think He is far away and angry.

Our Father and God is good. Like Niagara Falls, He pours His love on us all the time because He is full of mercy and grace. And His love will never stop. May the knowledge of God's love flow into your heart like a strong river today.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for being so kind and forgiving to me. Sometimes, it's difficult to believe that You love me the same way you love your Son, Jesus. But today, I surrender to the overwhelming flood of your eternal love that flows to and through me via your Holy Spirit.

May the great kindness You show me, simply because I am your child, open my heart's eyes wider.

In Jesus' name, Amen

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
