Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

PROMISE #42 - FEBRUARY 11

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. ~Psalm 91:15

Picture
When we are in trouble, God is always ready and willing to help us. We don't have to try to get Him to help us because that's what good fathers do for their children. Good parents are always there for their children when they need them, no matter what.

As children grow up, parents make sacrifices to help their children when they are in need. I think that every good parent who reads this devotional will feel the same way.

God is like a loving parent in many ways, but He is also all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful, and the most loving and best Father in the universe. Psalm 91 is full of promises that God will protect us and be there for us when we need help.

If you need help right now, ask God for it. He wants you to call on Him because He is ready, willing, and able to help and aid you! That's what good fathers do.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for always being there for me when I need you. Please help me remember that today, as I go about my way. You notice every little thing, and You are always ready, willing, and able to help me when I need it.

I pray that I will have the childlike faith to come into Your throne room and ask for help whenever I need it.

I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
