PROMISE #43 - FEBRUARY 12

For Thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. ~Psalm 61:3

God is a safe place and a strong fortress where enemies cannot reach you. The more we believe this, the more we will feel safe and at peace in our Father's arms.

If we don't believe that He will keep us safe, we will probably spend most of our time trying to keep ourselves safe. It can be very tiring to live a life where we have to defend ourselves all the time. However, when we truly comprehend that God serves as our refuge and a secure haven from those seeking our harm, we can unwind and inhale deeply. The Bible says in Exodus 14:14, "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

We can let our guard down if we really believe that we live in the secret place of the Most High and are under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). God's wings are our shield. May our God and Father give us a deeper revelation of His protection and safety today.

Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for being my strong tower and keeping me safe from my enemies. Please help me remember this truth when I feel like I can't get past the problems that come my way.

I pray that I will be able to find peace and rest in Your loving arms today, no matter what happens.
