Bible Promises

"I think that when people give themselves time to be quiet, God will really speak wonderful things to their hearts. These promises are for people who will take the time to listen. They won't try to outdo the noise of the world or impress with special effects. They are for the hurting, the weak, and the searching." --Mark Wash

PROMISE #41 - FEBRUARY 10

Now the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. ~2 Thessalonians 3:16

Picture
Our world is constantly changing and yearns for tranquility. We can have a peace that is beyond our understanding because the Prince of Peace lives in us. This peace will calm and soothe our busy souls. This peace will provide protection and shelter for our fragile hearts.

Jesus promises to give us His peace in John 14:27. Jesus says in John 16:33 that His peace is available even in a world that is full of problems. This peace allows us to rest peacefully even in the midst of a storm on a boat. If you need to feel God's peace right now, open your heart to Him and ask Him to fill you with it. We read in Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee."

The peace that rests on Jesus is promised to all of God's children as part of our inheritance. God promises to give you peace all the time and in every situation, no matter what you're going through.

Prayer that responds:

Thank you, Father, for the peace that surpasses my understanding, which I have because I am always with Jesus. No matter how crazy my world is today, may the peace of Jesus protect my heart and mind.

And I ask you, Father, to calm my heart in the middle of any storm I face today so that I may always have your perfect peace.

I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

    About

Although every promise in the Bible is important, not all apply to the child of God. If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, all of the promises are precious and important! If you haven't yet felt God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ, we hope that by reading these promises, you will gain a better idea of how great God is and how great His plans and purposes are for your life.

2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds the child of God that no matter how many promises God has made, they are all "Yes" in Christ. And so we say "Amen" through Him to bring glory to God. The apostle Paul writes, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

We hope that each daily promise will teach you more about the God who keeps all promises.
